Discovery Camps
For children ages 7 and 8 entering 2nd and 3rd Grade in the fall. Arts & Sciences offers fun and affordable summer camps that embody our school culture of honoring the whole child – cognitive, social and emotional development. Camps are led by experienced teachers and groups are divided by age. Camp activities are uniquely designed to meet the abilities and interests of each age group to foster a memorable summer camp experience.
CAMP TIMES: Monday through Friday 9:00am-3:00pm.
Before Care 8:00am-9:00am
After Care 3:00pm-6:00pm
COST: Camps are $370 per week with no additional fees for materials. ECECD Child Care Assistance subsidies accepted (an ECECD contract must be issued before registering).
Week 1 – Make it, Build it
June 8 – June 12 Cost of Camp $370
Come enjoy a week of creative building and engineering fun! Campers will explore Lego challenges, block forts, paper airplane designs, and hands-on construction experiments. Every day invites them to think outside the box, test the strength of their creations, and revise their structures in imaginative ways. Will your tower stand tall or crumble under the camp “wrecking ball”? Adventure, discovery, and building magic await!
Week 2 – Amazing Water Race
June 15 – June 19 Cost of Camp $370
Dive into the amazing world of water! Campers will cool off with playful water games, obstacle courses, and flowing experiments. From splashes and pours to rivers and channels, every activity brings excitement, laughter, and discovery. Along the way, campers will uncover fun facts about H₂O and watch how water behaves in endless, playful ways.
Week 3 – Dragon Camp
June 22 – June 26 Cost of Camp $370
Dragons are one of the most magical and legendary creatures in the world — and this week, they take over camp! Campers will dive into dragon lore, create crowns, shields, and dragon-themed crafts, and engage in medieval-inspired imaginary play. Will you befriend a dragon, defend the castle, or explore a hidden cave? Every day is a fiery adventure full of stories, imagination, and magical discoveries.
Week 4 – Spy Kids
July 6 – July 10 Cost of Camp $350
The case of the missing tomato has begun! Farmer Sampson’s prized tomato has vanished, and it’s up to campers to solve the mystery. Each day, campers will follow clues, play games, and solve puzzles to uncover which critter snatched the perfect juicy tomato. Teamwork, curiosity, and clever thinking guide campers through this week of whodunit adventures and playful investigation.
Week 5 – Improv Camp
July 13 – July 17 Cost of Camp $370
Lights, laughter, action! Campers will jump into fun, silly games that encourage quick thinking, creativity, and spontaneity. Every day is an opportunity to invent characters, scenes, and stories on the spot. By the end of the week, campers will plan and perform their own hilarious skits, discovering the magic of imagination, confidence, and playful performance.
Week 6 – Summer Puppet Theatre
July 20 – July 24 Cost of Camp $370
Step into the magical world of puppetry! Campers will craft their own hand puppets and bring them to life in imaginative stories and performances. From character creation to building sets and rehearsing scenes, every day is filled with laughter, creativity, and the joy of storytelling. At the end of the week, campers will share their puppet shows with friends, families, and fellow adventurers.
Week 7 – Wizard Academy
July 27 – July 31 Cost of Camp $370
Step into a world of magic and wonder! Campers will craft wands, mix bubbling potions, and play wizard-themed games that spark curiosity and creativity. Every day brings new spells, magical experiments, and fantastical challenges. Whether brewing potions, casting playful charms, or exploring enchanted lands, campers will end the week with a truly magical summer adventure.
