Professional Development

Teachers at Arts & Sciences develop a culture where professional development is expected and embedded in the daily fabric of our school. Professional development includes large group presentations, grade level or team meetings, workshops, peer observations, team teaching, and offsite institutes and workshops.

American Sign Language Teacher (Grades 3-8)

Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences, an expeditionary learning school, is seeking a part-time innovative, dynamic, collaborative American Sign Language teacher with a strong background in American Sign Language and in teaching both elementary and middle school students for the 2023-24 school year.

We are especially interested in candidates who are mindful and enthusiastic about cross-disciplinary connections to support students’ social and emotional development and needs and honor our commitment to equity and inclusivity . The American Sign Language  teacher will work in partnership with full-time teachers in the middle school to connect and integrate ASL into the content areas.

Middle School Moving Images & Digital Arts Teacher (Grades 7-8)

Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences, an expeditionary learning school, is seeking a part-time innovative, dynamic, collaborative middle school Moving Images and Digital Arts teacher with a strong background in film and digital arts and in teaching middle school for the 2023-24 school year.

We are especially interested in candidates who are mindful and enthusiastic about cross-disciplinary connections to support students’ social and emotional development and needs and honor our commitment to equity and inclusivity. The Moving Images and Digital Arts teacher will work in partnership with full-time teachers in the middle school to integrate digital arts into learning expeditions and other content areas.

Middle School English Teacher

Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences, an expeditionary learning school, is seeking a full-time innovative, dynamic, collaborative middle school English Language Arts teacher with a strong background in teaching middle school and in teaching writing, reading, and language arts for the 2023-24 school year.

We are especially interested in candidates who are mindful and enthusiastic about cross-disciplinary connections, particularly with the humanities (English/History) team to support future program innovations and create learning expeditions that honor current events and our commitment to racial justice and equality.
