 Equity resources

The Arts & Sciences Equity and Inclusivity Committee (EIC) was created to help our school look inward, and examine our practices, policies and programing. Are we staying true to a wholehearted stance on human rights, social justice and equity? How can we build our skills to meet this moment and equip our students for a better future? How can we be vulnerable to our own biases, so that we can see opportunities for growth and action? How do issues of equity and justice play out in our own school community? Do all families feel included and are all students treated equitably at our school? Our hope is that this public space on our website will be a useful tool in helping us move forward as a connected group of learners.

Our intention for this public space is threefold:

To share resources that we believe are necessary for each of us to understand in creating a more just world; To report to our community about the school’s work examining our practices, policies and programing; and to provide a way for you to help us understand what we are missing. We enjoy hearing from you directly, of course, whether in person, phone calls, emails or texts. Our survey is one more way to reach us. You may choose to remain anonymous or not.

If you are interested in participating in the work of the EIC and receiving updates directly from the EIC, please email Sam Italiano at sam@santafeschool.org

Thank you for taking the time to explore our website and visiting often for updates and for your commitment to combating injustice and inequality.

With gratitude,
