Dear Arts & Sciences Community,

Over two decades ago, our founders and teachers initiated a journey toward education equity, a path we wholeheartedly embrace today. Imbued in our school’s founding mission and vision is the commitment to create an environment of respect, inclusion, diversity, and equity, because everyone benefits from the contribution of more perspectives.

Our commitment to equity is deeply rooted in our school’s character traits of respect, trust, courage, honesty, compassion, and stewardship, which guide our approach to fostering a community where every individual feels valued and empowered. Our school aims to equip each student with the knowledge, skills, and passion to shape their vision of a better world. We are dedicated to fostering a community where differences are celebrated, and where every individual feels a sense of belonging, empathy, and agency.

Our statement of commitment to education equity and an accompanying FAQ, were developed as part of an over a year-long process led by the school’s Equity & Inclusivity Committee (EIC) and approved by the school’s Board of Directors at the January and March 2025 board meetings. This work was done in tandem with the development of our school’s five-year strategic plan. 

This is an ongoing journey, and we are committed to continuous learning and improvement. We invite you to join us as we work together to create a more just and equitable world.
