Move & Play Camps (ages 3 – 4)

For children ages 3 and 4 entering Preschool and Pre-K in the fall. Move and Play Camps are specially designed with the youngest campers in mind. The camps are led by our school’s Early Childhood Education Director and the Teacher in our Preschool/Pre-K classroom and are focused on exploration and play. 

CAMP TIMES: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Beforecare (8:00 am – 9:00 am) and Aftercare (3:00 pm – 5:30 pm) are available for an additional charge.

COST: Move and Play camps are $230 per week with no additional fees for materials. Funds through CYFD are accepted. Scholarships are available. Download Financial Aid Application PDF

Week 1 – 

June 1 – June 5

 

 

Week 2 – Bug Universe

June 8 – June 12

Learn all about the creatures that live in our own backyards through story, song, art and play. We will put on our scientist hats as we explore the creepy, crawly friends we find outside. Songs, stories and art projects will be featured, and children will be taught social and emotional skills that will help them work and play together. 

 

Week 3 – Kids Cook

June 15 – June 19

Get your chef hats ready to dive into the world of culinary arts. We will be learning about different ingredients, measurements, mixing, stirring and cooking safety, while creating kid-friendly fun and healthy foods.

 

Week 4 – Get Gardening!

June 22 – June 26

Where does fruit come from? How do we get paper? Let’s explore the many gifts we receive from trees. Build with wood blocks, make fruit smoothies, explore seeds and plant them, and make hand made paper. We’ll sing songs and hear stories while children are taught social and emotional skills that will help them work and play together. 

 

Week 5 – Animal Actions

Join us as we kick off a summer of fun at Arts & Sciences.  We will learn about the animals that live all around us in the high desert through music, storytelling, puppetry and the visual arts.  Children will learn and practice social and emotional skills to help them work and play together.

Week 6 – Rainbow-Colored Glasses

July 13 – July 17

Week 7 – Imaginarium

July 20 – July 24

Come explore the world of imagination and creativity. We will let our imaginations soar as we create art using a multitude of materials. We will experiment with colors, sculpting, natural elements and everything in between. Imagine the possibilities!

Week 8 – STEM for the Younger Set

July 27 – July 31

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! Through creative and critical thinking, we’ll explore the world through hands-on STEM activities. Using a variety of materials we will have fun with force, color and the magic of science.
