Move & Play Camps (ages 3 – 4)

For children ages 3 and 4 entering Preschool and Pre-K in the fall. Move and Play Camps are specially designed with the youngest campers in mind. The camps are led by our school’s Early Childhood Education Director and the Teacher in our Preschool/Pre-K classroom and are focused on exploration and play.


With summer on the horizon, and after careful review of available information concerning restrictions imposed due to COVID-19, we have decided to cancel our on-site summer camps scheduled for the month of June.  Visit our Summer Camp Homepage HERE for further information.

CAMP TIMES: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Beforecare (8:00 am – 9:00 am) and Aftercare (3:00 pm – 5:30 pm) are available for an additional charge.

COST: Move and Play camps are $230 per week with no additional fees for materials. Funds through CYFD are accepted. Scholarships are available. Download Financial Aid Application PDF

Week 1 – Reading is Magic


June 1 – June 5

Reading is Magic (RIM) is a free summer and afterschool reading program for students in the Santa Fe Public Schools. It is a collaboration between our school and Reading Quest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to children’s literacy.  


Week 2 – Bug Universe


June 8 – June 12

Try on your insect wings, and take flight into active learning as we explore the tiny world of insects and other creepy, crawly creatures. We will learn and play through hands on activities, dramatic play, song, art and the small friends we encounter in our own playground and garden.


Week 3 – Kids Cook


June 15 – June 19

Get your chef hats ready to dive into the world of culinary arts. We will be learning about different ingredients, measurements, mixing, stirring and cooking safety, while creating kid-friendly fun and healthy foods. (This camp may be unable to accommodate food restrictions.)


Week 4 – Get Gardening!


June 22 – June 26

Learn all about how seeds grow into plants, flowers and more when we start digging in the garden. Explore what grows around us and see if we can make our seeds sprout and grow. We will explore our natural world through gardening, play, songs and arts.


Week 5 – Animal Actions

July 6 – July 10

What do you know about all the animals in our world? Explore the many animals around us near and far. Through song, play, arts and more, we will learn about different animals’ habitats, what they eat and how they move through their world.

Week 6 – Rainbow -Colored Glasses

July 13 – July 17

Come see what colors you can create as we dive into a bright and colorful world.  We will explore the colors around us, how colors mix and what makes them change.  We will experiment with different materials such as paints, playdough, water colors and more.

Week 7 – Imaginarium

July 20 – July 24

Come explore the world of imagination and creativity. We will let our imaginations soar as we create art using a multitude of materials. We will experiment with clay, paint, natural and recycled materials, and everything in between. Imagine the possibilities!

July 27 – July 31

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math! Through creative and critical thinking, we’ll explore the world through hands-on STEAM activities. Using a variety of materials we will have fun with force, color and the magic of science. We will conduct experiments, enter the world of physics,  and so much more in this fun and exciting week.
